As will be seen from the enclosed CV, I completed my Bachelor degree in Biotechnology Innovation (Second Class Division A Honor) in August 2008. During my last academic year, I had my research into the development of the biotechnology industry in China and its future. In addition, I completed two Bioactive Compound Research Project funded by XYZ company. My research for these two projects was into the mechanisms and applications of various compounds namely Factor V, Factor Xa, Haptoglobin, and Ceramide.
After my graduation, I worked as a Laboratory Technician for ABC, a company which develop and manufacture medical diagnostic products. I gained further experiences in immunology, technical communication, scientific analysis as well as team-working.
In addition to my good understanding in academic principles, I am a person who desire to succeed, have a willingness to cooperate with others, and have a need to produce and excel the quality and quantity of work. My strengths are valued by my company that I am proud to be awarded with the employee of the month award. Through my career, I obtained good communication and organisational skills. Besides, I am able to handle excessive stress and I have my competency in time management and task-priority management. These make me confident that I will be suitable for your research team.
For my future career, I see this RHD program as the way to broaden my knowledge in understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of memory. This program proposes areas of research that will allow me to achieve my career goal in contributing to a better mankind by addressing neurological disease.
