A difficulty of youngsters living in Hanoi

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is a difficult place to live for young people because of the high living cost. It is obvious that the price of a house or an apartment is too high to rent for youngsters who have a low income that is about VND 6 to 10 million. For example, the price for renting a 1-bedroom apartment in the suburban areas of Hanoi is from VND 3 million per month. Moreover, the food’s price in Hanoi is also high. A statistic of Hanoians in 2019 showed that 1 adult spends at least VND 100, 000 for food every day; that means that food cost people at least VND 3 million per month. Besides, youngsters usually use a motorbike to commute to work, so they have to pay an amount of their money to fuel that is not cheap. Last but not least entertainments such as watching movies and playing sports also cost young people who love these kinds of activities when they have leisure time. In brief, living in Hanoi is not easy for youngsters due to the high expenditure.
