Letter Writing

Please. I need help.

0Hello. I’m new here and I’m so glad I came across with this site05000 My friend asked me to translate her letter which was written in Japanese into English. I tried my best, but I am not really confident with my work. I feel my English is kinda awkward and feel it needs to be revised05100 I will so appreciate if people who have chance to read my following letter help me improve it. Thank you very much05202br

00Hi! How are you?? I did write you a letter to say “A Happy New Year”, but during this winter break I kept myself quite busy doing two part time jobs and couldn’t find spare time to post it. I’m so sorry. (I’ve worked as a teacher at a cram school, and l also took a job at a shrine which was only temporary.) But now I have a lot of free time in my hand! All the final exams were finished, and finally a happy spring break has come!!02br

00By the way, thank you so much for sending me the nice post card. I was surprised to know that you were now staying in Japan. How do you like living in Japan? Why don’t we go out together? I really like to see you again!02br

00I’ve been a member of the Japanese Classic Literature Club at my college, and I’m going to have to start writing an essay on 01i00Tales of Genji 02i00pretty soon as one of its projects. Next year, we are probably going to issue a magazine which will be composed of all club members’ research essays. That’s why lately I often spend time in the library to do some research on 01i00Tales of Genji.02i00 It is hard and I’m worried about how I am going to finish the work, but at the same time it is very challenging. I hope I will do a good job on it.02br

00And I’m planning to go on a trip to Kyoto with my friend in March. Have you ever been to Kyoto? I have visited there many times and I never get tired of going there. I love that city. It’s really a beautiful city with its hundreds of temples and gardens, and it remains the cultural center of Japan.02br
