Please hepl me correct my letter

I am writing to apply for my Masters of Arts and by course work and research report at your University for the year 2012­-13. The Drama for life is more like a stepping stone towards the fulfillment of my dreams.

I have just completed my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Drama and English Language. I have always had love and interest in Drama but I never realized, until I got to know what it could actually to our communities. I learned about breaking the fourth wall, the culture of silence, theater of the oppressed, theatre for development and actually carried projects and saw how they benefited people. I did a project on playback theatre and it was an amazing therapy for different age groups and they loved it. My country is still developing and in a way I feel it needs theatre practitioners or major specialists who have deep love and passion to heal it, it is my dream to bring light to the oppressed and those who have lost hope. Drama for life is the light that will help me overcome all the problems surrounding Lesotho.

Theater is more like a mirror of our everyday lives, if used wisely it can capture hearts of millions, it can entertain the depressed, heal the sick, find the lost and mostly bring hope to those who had lost it, educate the illiterate, I have worked on projects that could help different communities to overcome their problems, like street kids who end up sleeping with older men for cash and food, the HIV/Aids orphans, the abandoned HIV/Aids patients but with the few techniques that I knew, they actually did not succeed because I was not equipped enough. If I could be granted the opportunity to study programs that will help me bring change to my community I defiantly would.

I am a creative writer who has always written poems, fiction and plays not just for the sake of writing but to touch people’s hearts and change their inner thoughts through my witting. I believe it takes hard work to achieve something big and worth it. With the training and practice I will acquire from Wits University I will bring down the moon, and be the eyes to the seeing blind. I have engaged in very many educational stage performances, drama series and drama movements and I have learned that all the community need is someone who is well equipped and is willing to give her all to bringing positive change, and all that could be me if I become a major specialist in the area of Capacity Development in HIV/Aids education, activism and therapy, Human Rights and Social Justice, Peace building, transformation and Diversity Management and Environmental Sustainability, through Applied Drama and Theater.

I hope to learn from leading of this field and also enhance my skills and capabilities in this fast growing demand of my country. With me studying there at Wits I will learn and discover new very powerful and strong techniques that will help me bring down my moon and give light to my communities.

I hope my background and qualifications are suitable for a MS degree in Applied Drama and Theatre and Drama for life scholar, I am positive about exceeding all your expectations, which of course might be academic excellence, motivation for research, communication or interpersonal skills. Moreover I am sure my international theatre and Drama background will defiantly add more variety to your program. I am sure I will benefit from this program and also contribute to it and other communities as well. With Drama for Life I am hoping for the best possible results, and in end make my world a be a better place for everyone to live in.
