I am writing something about a couple encountering marital problem. How to express in a better way (or more correct) of the following:
Her husband did not trust her, whenever she go out for dinner with her friends, he would suspect her to have dating with other man. One day, she returned home late after gathering...her husband looked angry. She afraid that what he would do to her next time when she has gathering again. (He had battered her before)

Thanks for your help! Do you know what I mentioned in the last sentence? I.e. She was afraid of what he would do to her ....is it correct to use " what he would do yo her?" Thanks!
