The line graph gives information about an adult proportion of the United Kingdom who enjoys a diet without meat and fish between 1960 and 2020. Overall, it is clear that the figures of people who took part in a vegetarian diet varied over the 50-year period. In addition, from 2010, the proportion of vegetarians is expected to level off until 2020. From 1960 to 1979, the per cent of adolescents following a vegetarian diet rose sharply. Then, it reached a peak of over 15% of the participant in 1980. The proportion fell dramatically from peak to almost 8% in the next decade. Therefore, the figures started fluctuating between 1990 and 2000 with 8% and just over 5% respectively. In this period, it reached the lowest point at nearly 4%. Since then, it has risen gradually for the following 10 years. It is predicted to remain a stable increase in the period from 2010 to 2020.
