Please help with title interpretation

I am a student in interpretation and translation.
Please refer to the following article "Lifting the Screen" on cancer screening.
http://www.disease-information.com/archive/index.php/t-3551.html

I have decided that the title is written as a metaphor, i.e. I would interpret it as "Revealing the Screening Mystery" for translation into Chinese. Would you agree with my interpretation? If not, would you suggest I interpret it literally as "Lifting the Screening Standard" into the Chinese equivalence?
Thanks for your help.

Gentlemen, thank you very much for your very prompt and helpful suggestions particularly from Joseph Littleshoes and Peter Duncanson.. I was right, the author, Alison McCook meant the title to be metaphorical. I just received an email confirmation from her.
Have a nice day.
