Please help with this letter concerning a costly Emergency service
Dear Sir/Madam: I am writing concerning the Emergency service you provided me with and its cost. I think that the cost is very high and as a student I'm finding it very difficult to afford it. Furthermore I did not know that the service will be such expensive. Actually I asked the operator at the emergency about the cost, but he answered that you do not need to worry about it for now. I therefore assumed that the service may be for free. If I knew that the service is this expensive, I have certainly avoided it. I was in San Diego only for 5 days for a scientific conference and did not expect such a problem. I talked to my insurance in Canada and they said they will assess my case to see whether they can reimburse it. My understanding is that they may reimburse me partially or do not reimburse me at all. But I am going to send them my documents and see what I can do. I am now requesting you to help me in any possible way to minimise the costs. I should add that I have recived another $65489 bill from the hospital for the same service. Attached to this letter please find a copy of your statement and my student ID.
