please help with this!

husband : We should just tell them

to go to a hotel.



I mean, they can afford it.



wife :What a difference six hours makes.

When I said that, you said,

"It's only one night."

"Shit, you could do that

in a Mexican jail and come out almost as clean as you went

in," I believe was the quote.





husband:When we were 25, it was funny when

he would say how hot you are.Now it's just annoying.





these are some lines from a tv show. a couple is talking about the old friend they just met. i don't have a clue of the meaning of that quote"shit, you could do that in a Mexican jail and come out almost as clean as you went in", can anyone help with this?thank you!

The context doesn't say.
Otherwise, I would take the statement literally.
