The bar chart gives information about France and UK’s expense on cars, computers, books, perfume and cameras in 2010.

Overall, the total amount of money England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland spent on the five consumer goods was higher than that of France. Cars accounted the most expenditures of these countries on these items, whereas perfume came out last. Especially, there was a significant difference between the expenses of these countries on cameras.

British people consumed more cars, books and cameras than French (the figures for the UK were 450000, 400000 and 350000 pounds sterling respectively, compared to 400000, 300000 and 150000 pounds in France). Notably, the amount of money spent on cameras in the UK was more than twice that of France.

French expended slightly more on the other two consumer goods than British. In France, around 380000 pounds was for computers in comparison with 350000 pounds of the UK. Also, France paid 200000 pounds for perfume compared with nearly 150000 pounds in the UK.
