The graph below shows average carbon dioxide emissions per person in the UK, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007        The line graph gives information about how much carbon dioxide ( CO2 ) which each person emissions in four different countries over a period of 40 years. overall, there was a general decline in the production of co2 in UK and Sweden whereas the figure for Italy and Portugal increased steadily.      In the first years, 1967, the emission of co2 in Italy stood at 4.2, then it went u smoothly and reached a peak of 7.8 in 1977. likewise, the figures for Portugal was lower in the beginning of the year which just accounted for 1. next, there was an increase to 5 in the production of co2 and remained stable throughout the remainder of the period.      With regard to UK, in 1967, the emission of co2 was quite higher than that of other countries but after that, there was a gradual decline to nearly 8 at the end of a period. Although the two trends in UK and Sweden were similar in term of general decline, the production of co2 in Sweden varied more significantly than the figure for UK. It reached the highest point of over 10, then it decreased rapidly by over 6 in 2007, which is in the same level of Portugal.

A good organization for Task 1:

Paragraph 1: Describe all aspects of the figure or table. Do not mention any data or data values.

Paragraph 2: "Overall" Give two or three major observations about the data.

Paragraph 3: Give some detailed comparisons for the data.

Your paragraph 1 is not complete. It needs to give the exact time period (beginning and end) and the countries' names and the units of measure. The last sentence belongs in the next paragraph.

The line graph plots the average emitted carbon dioxide per person in the UK, Sweden, Italy and Portugal from 1967 to 2007.

Overall, the average emission of carbon dioxide in all countries increased, from 24.5 metric tonnes in 1967 to 26.5 metric tonnes in 2007. Although the emission decreased in the UK and Sweden, Italy and Portugal increased.

In 1967, the average emission of carbon dioxide per person in the UK was 11 metric tonnes. The emission gradually fell by 0.2 annually, reaching 9 metric tonnes by the end of the period. Sweden saw an immediate rise of 2 metric tonnes, from 8.5 metric tonnes in the first year to 10.5 metric tonnes after a decade, before falling steadily, ending at 6 metric tonnes in 2007.

In contrast, an average person in Italy emitted 4 metric tonnes in 1967. This climbed by 2 after 10 years, then rose gradually to 7 metric tonnes in 1997, before remaining constant until the end of the timeframe. Similarly, a Portuguese exhaled around 1 metric tonne of carbon dioxide during the first year. This emission constantly climbed year after year, peaking at 4.5 in 1997, before remaining stable towards the final year.
