My interest in mathematics and economics stems from my high school study. Econometrics and operational research gives me an access to combine both. It’s a perfect choice as I believe the ultimate purpose of knowledge is to solve real-world problems.

I particularly enjoy delving into data analysis, matrix algebra and linear programming. Therefore, I’m excited to learn how these subjects can be applied to handling economic issues. In the second year in Erasmus, the program provides courses such as simulation and time series analysis, where the advanced knowledge can become practical methods. Translating data into models to make accurate predictions and informed choices is what I’m keen on.

Besides, I gravitate to the relevance among sales and prices when studying fundamental economics. I also bought books introducing basic knowledge of micro- and macro-economics, and therefore I’m determined to pursue this field more.

Studying economics in depth along with statistical and analytical skills is the right choice based on my interest and numerical ability.
