Please help, with my letter

I'm in the process of changing job.I need to notify my new employer that my start date need to be push back. I am suppose to start working on June 29, now my new start date is July 6. Does anybody have any suggestion on how I should write this letter to my new employer?

Are you changing jobs within the same company, or are you changing firms entirely?

If it's the latter, then your second one is entirely unacceptable. You haven't started working there yet, and alread you are "informing" them of changes? That won't work at all, and if I were your new employer, I'd be furious to get that note.

My honest advice: If you have been hired by a new employer, do not make any unnecessary changes or request after you have accepted the offer. I made the indenticial mistake that you were about to make some years ago with United Airline, I ended up losing my job to someone who could start right way. It was a hard lesson to learn.
