Please help with grammar

Hi!

Anyone can help to check with grammar?

“Tom was starting to have a bit of runny nose this morning, I think it is safer to always keep him warm enough to decrease the chances of catching a cold. Please don't put off his jacket unless he is having his hot meal or doing physical activities”

Many thanks!
