Letter Writing

Please help with application letter :)

Hello, after being asked to write an essay about why did a pursue a masters degree, I am now being asked to write about why did I chose the School. I wrote a letter below and would like to get a second pair of eyes since english is not my first language. Feel free to correct anything you deem unfit. Thanks a lot for the help.

"
The choice to apply to XXX Faculty of XXX came naturally to mind as I was looking for a school that will provide me with unmatched and innovative education integrated with the real world of business, strong alumni network and good international reputation.

My mentor, who trained me in the art of microeconomics hold an Economics PhD from XXX and spending time around him showed me that his training was rigorous and avant-gardist. Not only was he able to make very complex concepts easy to grasp but he was also able to make me go explore what was not written in the textbooks, the real life applicability of various theories. Other colleagues that I interact with in the workplace are also XXX graduates and they demonstrate a great sense of logic and intellect even with only an undergraduate degree which shows, among other things, the good quality of their training.

Another aspect about the program at XXX that I like is the Integrative XXX Project, a feature that makes the program stands out from what is offered at other schools because it provides the opportunity to immediately put into practice the skills and knowledge that students acquire in the classroom. It is mentioned that, throughout the program, students will work as XXX at XXX Inc., a licensed and regulated XXX firm, and major responsibilities will include covering XXX and XXX. This is an aspect that I’ve been looking for in a program because it will shorten the transition from school to the workplace as the student is already acquainted with the basics of how things work in a XXX and XXX firm.

Last but not least is the strength of the XXX alumni network and the international reputation of the school. This is a very important attribute for me as a candidate who is open to the possibility of pursuing a career overseas later in life. School reputation is a key driver of success in the field of XXX, and XXX’s reputation goes beyond our boarders when it comes to the quality of the education and the strength of the training, a characteristic that will be very helpful for me to be able to make an effective and successful career transition to XXX, both in a local and international context.

Thank you very much for your help.
