Please help with a Motivation letter for a scholarship

Would like to ask your help with my motivation letter. I'm Brazilian trying to study in Australia.

Please help me telling me if I've made it clear and simple.

Motivation letter - 2007

I am a student of Communication (Public Relations - PR). I am studying at University of XXXXXX, School of Communication and Art, in Brazil. My studies focus on integrated communication and different behavior of different cultures front mass communication. Through my studies I became fascinated with issues that involve reactions from different situations of strategic communication in different cultures.

I would like to study and understand different ways to learn Public Relations and how people can be affected by different strategic and I do believe these strategic must consider that communication is not just a cable which brings the information, communication needs to understand different cultures and valor.

The chance to study at XXXX would give me the opportunity to exchange information with different cultures, especially because Australia has been a country with so many different nationalities and XXXX appears as one of the most important center of study.

The mix of different cultures is a strong mark in my life, my grandfather and grandmother were Japanese (father’s side), they came to Brazil during the First World War, my grandmother (mother’s side) is descendant of Netherlander who came to Brazil during the colonization, and Grandfather is descendant of “Indios” natives of Brazil before the colonization.

Perhaps because of these mix, visit and live in different countries are always part of my dreams. I have been to Japan twice and in the last time I lived there for ten months, working and studying, to Australia, one year and four months. I also visited Bolivia, Malaysia, South Korea, Canada, Switzerland, France and Italy.

I am confident that a one year at XXXX will help me gain experience, knowledge and contacts but I am also confident that I am bringing with me some experience that will help future Australians PR’s to understand the Latin America culture a bit better, and its with this hope that I am applying.
