Please help!! Which word would you use in these 8 sentences

Could you please help me with these sentences and tell me which word or phrase to use?

1 Its a lot faster to shave with a manual razor than an electric/electrical one. (What do you think about sentence?)
2 This scale only serves one purpose/has only one purpose. /has only one use.
3 Towards the end of my contract, I would always mess around at work./ I messed around at work.
4 Keeping your goatee even/proportional in length on both sides.
5 My apartment is in the same spot/in the smae place just on a different floor.
6 According to/depending on the clients taste and criteria, I go and pick out a couple of things they might like for them.

I'm willing to pass up the opportunity to buy/of buying it from you if it means I can go home right and not have to wait.
