Topic: Traffic and housing problems in major cities can be solved by moving large companies, factories and their employees to the countryside. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
In the past decades, the heavy industry has become an ever-growing trend, along with, the boom of enormous companies and manufactures. However, the expansion of large companies and factories leads to increasing the number of employees which engender traffic and housing problems especial in major city where lands and infrastructures are limited. I believe the idea to move large companies, plants and their employees to the countryside is the solution for this issue.
First, while major cities were built for a long time ago with old and inadequate infrastructures such as roads, hospitals, schools, building… to provide the large amount of city dwellers. The countryside has a plenty of unused lands to build new and modern infrastructures, factories and houses for employees. Not only does the transferring of large companies, factories from centric cities to rural area abate the number of vehicles and housing needs in cities, but people also take advantages of large amounts of available lands of countryside. For instance, when moving companies to rural areas, their workers also relocate their houses from cities to places near their companies in order to commute quickly. Thus, that movement leads to the result of diminishing traffic jams and housing demands due to less people live in the cities.
Second, an significant benefit of moving large factories and companies from cities is giving more space to build other constructions such as modern buildings and large roads in order to improve the quality of life of citizens. For example, city dwellers have chances to live in bigger and more comfortable houses built to replace old manufactures. More empty lands give more opportunities for increasing the number of houses which contribute to decrease housing prices. Besides that, roads can be expanded and renewed on the lands given by old manufactures ’s space, thus facilitating transports of urban dwellers.
In conclusion, the movement of large companies, factories and their employees is the eminent solution to solve traffic and housing problem in centric cities.
