Please help to correct my sentence below, thanks

Dear Sam,

Wish to highlight that I’ve just came to work today from my compassionate leave last Friday and unpaid yesterday. So, don’t you agree if I need at least sometimes by end of the day today for me to submit my leave application form to HR? As you know, I do need to clear my pending and urgent invoices for submission to our client first and etc.

Thanks for your understanding.

I'd like to clear a few questions before I attempt to tackle yours. What is a "passionate leave"? I have never heard of it.

  • So if I understand your situtation, you basically took off Friday without prior approval, and didn't show up for work Monday.
  • Then you are writing this email to report to Sam that you have returned to work and try to submit your leave request to HR after the fact ?
