It's not clear who the players are here. Whom are you thanking? Who needs to be convinced there'll be no more dripping? - You? Who took the survey? Who was surveyed? I'm totally confused.

I'm sorry, this is exactly what you said before. What the heck is a chiller air conditioner survey? You ask all the people in the building how they like it??

Okay, I get it. Somebody (gosh knows who, the government inspector, maybe) looks over the installation, and refuses to sign off on it because of the water dripping from the chiller unit. Are you talking about leaks, or condensate?? They're going to have to install gutters or something to collect the condensation and divert it to a storm drain or something like that?

You can't be the primary contractor, because John is the primary contractor. You want John to contact the air conditioning vendor and have him repair or modify the units, and then write some kind of a statement to you, or to the inspector, or to somebody, explaining the situation and assuring you or somebody else either that there will be no more leaks, or that the condensate will be properly collected and diverted to the proper place.

During the recent survey of the air conditioning installation we have found only one major concern:

The water dripping from the chiller unit needs to be controlled. Please have your vendor arrange for appropriate repairs or modifications to deal with this problem.

I'll need confirmation of his plans for the work, and your assurance that this will be corrected.
