My name is Ethan Pham. I am writing this letter to explain my purpose to apply to the Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation course in University of ********.
To begin with, I have been working as CEO in my company for eight years, since 2004. After graduating from ****** University with Electronics and Telecommunication major, I worked in several companies, from technical position to sales support area. However, I am always interested at doing something at my own, that’s why I and two other partners have created a company. I have worked there since that time.
As the CEO, I involve to all working tasks of company everyday. Even though, with my educational background, I have been still working more on technical field, especially under circumstance that our company is a web-hosting provider. Technology is changing fast in this new Internet world. I will need to make sure to choose the right one for our company, for our customers. It’s also the fact that I can see at other small businesses, which are still working manually. They don’t know which technology is good, which one is bad for them. Therefore, they choose the safe side: still work manually as usual. As a result, the working affect is low. I want to improve that situation. But for doing that, I feel that I still need to gain more knowledge about other business aspects such as marketing, finance and so on. They are very important when applying a new technology in an existing system.
With that thought in my mind, I have searching an educational program that can help me to improve my skills and knowledge. After a short visit to (the country name) last year, I found out that the University of ******** offers Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation course which I believe it will match with my aims. I am especially interested at skill based learning outcomes such as the ability of assessing the commercial viability of a new technology based idea and the ability of transforming research based ideas into feasibility and business plans. Furthermore, I have tried to dig deeper and seen some successful people from this program, such as (name 1 at company 1) and (name 2 at company 2). They both graduated from this Master course and have been working well in their career life.
New technologies are generated daily, no one can know what is happening in next five years. However, if we prepare for that, we will be ready when the new things happen; we will know how to do right for our business. That’s what I want to work with other businesses. With my practical experience and educational background, I am confident that I have skills and knowledge to attend this Master course. Graduating from an international environment, likes University of ********, will be another step to help me to consolidate my future career. I would appreciate to receive the opportunity to study at University of ********. Thank you very much for considering my request. I look forward to hearing your positive response.
