Although Tokyo only owns 155 kilometres of the metro, it has the largest number of passengers per year. The number of passengers per year in Tokyo is 1,927 million, which is almost twice that of Pairs. The number of passengers in London ranks number three among the six cities, which is five times that of DC. The passenger number per year of Kyoto and Los Angeles is similar, with 45 million and 50 million respectively.
