Please help - thesis statement
Please help with this essay, not sure what my thesis should say.... but worried it doesn't sound right...
Upon reading “The Great Gatsby” colors are utilized as a means of expression, one’s character and personality, one’s value and lastly a symbolic meaning. The author uses colors to express mood and a deeper meaning behind each color he uses to describe people, places, and setting in the most important events in the book. Many of us at times can use colors to express our feelings through song or even the way we dress and not even realize we are doing it. Some people look for a deeper meaning of our life that will make us happy either through people, relationships, money, material things, or religion. In this novel Gatsby had many great things such as money, mansion, cars and many other material things; however the one thing he wanted most was to marry his soul mate. The author, F. Scott Fitzgerald illustrates great use of colors throughout this novel to reflect how color can be used to reflect many different meanings.

Oh, definitely, colors play an important role in the novel. They are an expression of the characters and their personalities. Of course, they are symbolic as well. But on an unconscious level, the colors in 'Great Gatsby' speak volumes about the situation. When you write your essay, make sure it is written systematic
