Please Help Review My Task 2.

For school children, their teachers have more influence on their intelligence and social development than their parents. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

There is a school of thought that students’ intelligence and social development are more easily affected by educators than their parents. From my perspective, I totally disagree with this viewpoint and opine that parents and educators are equally influential ones as each impacts schoolchildren differently.

Opponents, myself included, of the belief that teachers are more influential than parents maintain that each of them does not affect schoolchildren similarly. First, compared to teachers, parents have more time and chance to interact with their offspring so they can have a more direct bearing on their social development. Undoubtedly, after school time, minors may often stay at home with their intimate caretakers, which signifies that they routinely receive special parental care and control. Therefore, parents can deliver life lessons and instill a sense of propriety and discipline into their children to elevate their morality.

Second, regarding educators, they are more experienced than parents in fostering children’s precocious abilities. For example, during Math classes, students who excel at Math tend to actively engage in the lesson by answering several questions or effortlessly solving complicated mathematical problems. As a result, teachers can easily notice their perspicacity and then encourage them to partake in the school team of specialized Math, offering them the chance to gain a deeper insight into that subject. Thus, such outstanding individuals will be empowered to better themselves and contend for prizes in several academic contests.

In conclusion, I unequivocally disagree with the belief that the parental influence on the improvement of children’s intellectual ability and well-being is not as much as that of teachers due to the difference in how they affect minors. It is advisable that schoolchildren should receive equal attention from both their educators and caretakers to thrive comprehensively.
