Internet access helps young people and workers achieve their education and work goals more easily than before. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Some people believe that Internet connection enables adolescents and workers in the present to further their studies and careers more speedily compared to the past. Personally, I totally agree with this view as online platforms have assisted individuals in learning as well as providing proper choices of careers, which are conducive to their academic attainments afterward.

Granted, the Internet acts as an efficacious facilitator in people’s improvement. Unarguably, in the past, people would travel to bookshops and purchase books and documents that often seemed unaffordable, which precluded them from deepening their knowledge frequently. Today, nonetheless, numerous sources of information which are readily available online offer younger generations exclusive privileges to obtain useful insights into various technical fields more conveniently. Indeed, this can expedite the progress of self-betterment, thereby leading to their success in academy or career. For example, IELTS learners these days can use downloadable English materials to study English of their comfort or even upload their writings on internet forums so that other native speakers can help them for free.

Furthermore, the popularity of this virtual network also benefits job applicants in terms of seeking a suitable job. Historically, most workers may have to manage to find an occupation fitting their calibers and personal interests. Hence, were they to receive insufficient career guidance and choose an unsuitable one, they would struggle to get accustomed to the nature of that job and be easily discouraged in the long run. Nevertheless, since most workers can access the Internet, the incidence of wrongful career choice somewhat decreases, especially with the help of job-seeking online platforms. Consequently, job seekers can research more about different companies so that they are more likely to work for their preferable company and enjoy a satisfying working life, which is a good career move.
