Topic: Certain old buildings are more worth preserving than the other ones. Which types of old buildings should be preserved? Advantages of preserving these outweigh the disadvantage.

Some people think the preservation order for ancient sites should be taken into account while others consider repurposing these buildings for other uses such as skyscraper, parking lot is an effective solution. It would lead to some reasons for preservation and the drawback of dereplicating historic sites.

Frist, there are several reasons relating to the preservation of heritage listed building. This antique construction could be historic spot, religious place to cultural site such as museum and temple. Therefore, a well-maintained building probably can become a tourist attraction or a piece of cultural heritage so that it will anchor the local area with a stable income for the periodic upkeep. The Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal Palace in India represent as good examples. Another reason is to keep children well educated. Students will get more excited to learn new things, especially the impressive old constructions in history class if they can see it in person.

On the other hand, there are many disadvantages when leaving historic site being decayed. It could lead to a consistent disunion between nations, religions or states if the preservation cannot be valued. What happened if India has the plan to close Mahabodhi Temple - a World Heritage stie where Lord Buddha in Buddhism found the attainment of Enlightenment? We also see the financial loss when shutting down the historic building. People travel to China mostly because of The Great Wall, and in reverse, the host country will lose significant tourism earnings if they demolish this listed building.

In conclusion, the ancient buildings should be respected and preserved well rather than others.
