Please help me writing this in a shorter form & grammatically correct.

Whatever the issues are between the government and business association, we still need to attend their meetings. Although the majority of their members are not located in the City, but they can influence some of the businesses are located within the City. Attending their meeting is one of ways to show our interests in them and we do try to see what our local businesses' needs are. Word of mouth is very important. After all if their meetings are held in the City, it helps the business where they held the meeting.
