To some people studying the past has little value in the modern world. Why do you think it is important to learn the past? What will be the effect if children are not taught history?

Learning about history in a development of the world, some people say that history has little merit to human being. In my opinion, this subject is actually the most important with many benefits to people and society, also as for children to study.

Firstly, understanding history helps people have an insight into what happened in the past and could make a better improvement in the future. Past knowledge would tell us about ancestor’s mistakes, some problems and conflicts which have a huge value for avoid making the same mistake in the future as well as solution of some situation in the past could apply to deal-with or develop for resolving the same or similar mistake in the present.

Secondly, History is the subject where everyone could find out source of their ancestor. People would more understanding contribution, dedication to be created those variety culture and heritage for future generation. They would proud with ancestor’s things build in the past by studying history. As a result, a community will be more united with strong relationship of people and a sense of respective to a social.

In addition, many younger generations ignore their culture knowledge and lost understanding some tradition. Consequently, they could not perfect themselves and it cause to lost diversity cultures in the future.

To sum up, based on reasons mentioned above, Learning history is needed by students to build the nationally and motivate them to contribute to their country. Learning the past is a first step to establish a better future.
