Please help me work this out.

Hi!!

This question is related to report writing.

If there is a graph showing people use more electricity during winter than summer, and the average daily consumption during winter is “double" the figure in summer. How should I express this in one sentence, perfectly and clearly?

these are my attempts:

1. "People use twice as much electricity during(in) winter as they use during(in) summer"

2. " People consume as double electricity during(in) winter as they consume during(in) summer"

I tried to use "twice" and "double", but I cant figure out if these sentences are correct? Can someone fix these for me pls?

Thanksss vry much!!
