Topic: The pie charts below show how dangerous waste products are dealt with in three countries.

The three given pie charts depict different ways of treating harmful waste products in three countries, namely: Republic of Korea, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Overall, Korea and Sweden possess a relatively similar garbage treatment process, with three ways of disposing trash compared to four techniques of the United Kingdom.

In Korea and Sweden, recycling, burning and burying are three main ways of disposing of hazardous materials. While recycling dominates in Korea with 69% of waste was recycled, dumping trash in landfill sites remains a prevalent method in Sweden, accounting for more than a half. Burning trash is the least favorable means in both countries, with only 9% and 20% of garbage are treated in this way in Korea and Sweden respectively.

With respect to the United Kingdom, trash is not recycled here. Instead, it undergoes four different processes, with two extra new method, including chemical treatment and dumping at the sea, which are not employed in the other two nations. These two new ways account for the same proportion (8%) of all the total amount of trash treated. Burying trash underground continues to be a prevalent method here (82%), which is more than four times as much as the other three categories combined (18%).
