writing task 1 : the charts below give information about USA marriage and divorce rates between 1970 and 2000 and the marital status of adult Americans in two of the years . summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

the bar charts show the number of people getting married and divorced in the USA from 1970 to 2000 and the marital status of adult in America during the same period.

Overall, the figure for marriages decreased slightly but it was still higher than divorces in the USA. Status of marital to adult Americans had been commonly given to marry by 2000.

Exactly 2.5 millions of people got married which reached a highest point in 1970 while the number of divorced Americans only achieved exactly at 1 millions. American people who got married saw a slowly decline to 2 millions in 2000, lower than in 1970. Compared to divorced people, the figure for this fluctuated stably in the period from 1970 to 2000 and then remain constanly to exactly 1 millions in 2000.

From 1970 and 2000, people got married got the highest point at 70 % and decreased trivially by 10 %. In comparison with the percentage of divorced dropped to the lowest point in 1970, at 3 % and went up trivially to 7% in 2000. The people never married and widowed rose by 5% and went down by 2 % respectively.
