Government should spend money on railways rather than roads. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Here is my essay:
It is argued that government should use money on railways rather than roads. I partially agree with this statement for some reasons which will be given in this essay.
First of all, it can be said with certainty that train is one of the most used transportation in the world. The key explanation is possibly because of its convenience, which brings comfort for passengers during the journey despite of long distance. Another reason is that trainer can save their money by using railway, since it does not cost much like aviation. There is no doubt about it.
In contrast, it must be admitted that railways are not always a perfect option for every circumstance. Even though trains are useful, roads still have higher priority. This is obvious because urbanization has currently plunged for a while, lead to the increasing demansion for transportation. Moreover, roads need to be regularly repaired, if not, there will be serious consequences due to traffic accidents. For example, some big holes usually appear on the road unreasonably, which will lead drivers into severe danger.
In conclusion, for these reasons mentioned above, I believe that government need to have right policies to use money equally between railways and roads.
