Please help me with this sentence.

Hi

Please look at the following sentence:

* We were talked to by the experts in this field.

Is this sentence wrong? If yes, why?

Hi Sooris As the sentence stands, this is the meaning I would understand: All of the experts in this field talked to us, but we didn't talk to them -- we only listened. ) Is that the meaning you intended?

Hi Sooris

As the sentence stands, this is the meaning I would understand:

All of the experts in this field talked to us, but we didn't talk to them -- we only listened. (Possibly all of the experts were reprimanding us, or possibly all of the experts gave us a presentation.)

Is that the meaning you intended?

It's the passive form of "Experts in this field talked to us".

The sentence is grammatically correct, but awkward.

Maybe you're trying to say something like this.

Experts in the field came to our company and gave a talk.
