"When one does not know what it is, then it is something. But when no one knows what it is, then it is nothing. What am I?"

i think it might be 'a secret' coz if you think about it if no-one knows the secret then you have a secret which makes it something but if you share it then every one knows it and it becomes unvaluable so it becomes nothing. see
