PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS IM STRUGGLING ?

Could you please help me correct these sentences please?
- I did it now so that/that way I wouldn't have to do it later.
- This lock really locks the cabinets. The old lock , you could just force and it would give way.
- I bought it just to buy it. (what does this mean?)
- I didn't want them to think I was a worse mom than I already am.
Thank you

I'm doing it now so I won't have to later. This lock really works on this cabinet, unlike the old lock that would give way easily with a bit of force. I bought it just to buy it (means exactly what it says).
