Many university students live with their families, while others live away from home because their universities are in different places. What are the advantages and disadvantages both situations?

Nowadays, many students live with their families, while others live in boarding houses or dormitories because their home is quite far from the universities. In my opinion, living at home or away home, both have positive and negative aspects.

The first advantage of living with your family is that you always have parents to share, encourage and be willing to listen to you whenever you are sad or have something to disappoint you. The next advantage is that the cost of living is low, which will reduce the financial burden on parents a lot. However, living with family also have some advantages. For example, you will find it hard to be self-sufficient because your parents almost always help you with everything and you just focus on learning, which will make it difficult for you to handle situations in the future.

On the other hand, living away from home has also both advantages and disadvantages. First, we will practice self-reliance and do everything without parents. Second, we will be free to decide everything according to our thinking. From there, we will gain more life skills. However, some advantages are often seen is that we will very easy to be stressed because of academic and financial pressure. Moreover, the cost of accommodation is quite expensive, which will hinder you in finding suitable accommodation.

In conclusion, living with families or away from home have both benefits and drawbacks. So, in order to limit their disadvantages, we need to plan for the future and think carefully when doing things.
