People should follow the customs and traditions when people start to live in a new country. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, the number of people living abroad has grown rapidly. When living in a new country, people have a wide range of choices whether or not they should adapt new habits. While I accept that newcomers should change their behaviours and traditions to reside more easily. I believe that Cultural conservation is a vital element creating a characteristic of a country.
On the one hand, new residents should follow to the traditions and customs of the host country to broaden their knowledge. Living abroad is a good opportunity to learn new things such as educational system, food, customs. For instance, people residing places like England, America or other countries using English as the official language is an efficient way to improve their spoken english without paying money
On the other hand, immigrants should conserve their own customs and traditions. Many people living in their host country have lots of curiosities about other countries. This thing gives us many chances to spread their cultural heritage. For example, ‘Ao dai’ is a traditional garment of Vietnamese women. When the number of foreigners knows Ao Dai, the sales of costumes will increase speedily.
To sum up, while I agree new citizens should should change their customs and traditions when emigrating to a new country. I would argue that conservation is a essential thing contributing an interesting characteristic of a country.
