please help me with this

Hello,

Dear teachers, please help me understand the following in red:

1- Theory X is build on the view that humans are selfish, lazy and irresponsible. To get any work from them, including learning with children, the supervisor must ride them with a heavy hand, rules and prosedures to control people.

what did he mean? I don't get it. Please explain.

2-Theory Y arises from those who hold 1 that people were bacially neutal or good and held positive motives to achieve. Create an environment that is supportive and provide leadership direction 2 and human beings will accomplish and achieve. Here, the guidance is in the goal and direction and controlling outcome 3, not in the controlling of people.

1 does it mean "believe"?

2 how? does he mean by boosting the sense of leadership in them?

3 plese either explain it or paraphrase it.

3- Theory Z emerges from the idea of involving people from all levels within the organization in both planning and decision-making. The principle here is that people achieve far more if they are involved in the process 4. In bussiness we hear of "Quality Circles" and in education there is an increasing movement toward "shared governance" and "site based" management 5.

4 which process?

5 please tell me what is that, the "site based" doesn't make any sense to me.

Thank you so much.
