Please help me with the grammar of these questions??

Could you please help me with these?

- She's always had boyfriends who were better looking than her.
- This dress is too expensive for the use I have for it.
- She isn't reassured.
- My teeth have darkened/blackened because of the coffee.
- Who's the mom who screamed at you. The tone with she spoke was insulting.
- You would need 18957 books one on top of the other the to be as high as this monument (how would you say this?)
- She doesn't want to ____to herself that she's gotten old and is no longer what she used to be.
- The dog only likes me and comes to me when I'm eating. Other than that she never comes to me.

No. It's very awkward and unidiomatic. It sounds as if the speaker might even intend to use the dress as a rag to clean oil spots under her car! If I could have thought of a way to say it, I would have included that in my post. Let's see. Maybe this:
