Doing an enjoyable activity with a child can develop better skills and more creativity than reading. To what extent do you agree? Use reasons and specific examples to explain your answer.

In recent years, the question of whether doing an interesting activity with children is a better way to gain skills and creativity than reading or not has been a matter of fierce debate. While some people think that they have a preference for reading than playing with children in order to do it, this notion has been reputed by the others. From my perspective, I partly agree with that statement.

On the one hand, it is clear that people could gain a wide range of skills by playing with children instead of reading. The principal reason is that activity with a child involves much more physical activities and practical situations than reading books. In other words, people would learn how to deal with children and take care of other people. Compared to reading, it only gives them theoretical lessons without an opportunity to apply their in real life.

On the other hand, I suppose that both of the activities are of the paramount importance to our cognitive development to the same extent. Research has shown that people would have much incredible imaginary, which can be attributed to extraordinary ideas. For example, reading comic books are recommended for young people on the grounds that they have many pictures, while playing with children allows individuals to understand what children think. Children who are not affected much by the stereotype and other people’s thoughts sometimes have different attitude towards various aspects of their lives.

All things considered, I believe that playing with children plays a more essential role in gaining necessary skills and make people as creative as reading does.
