Could you help me check the following sentences? If you find something wrong, please correct them. Thank you very much.
  1. Sam looks happier than Lisa
  2. The beach here becomes cleaner than the beach there.
  3. The summer is getting hotter than before.
  4. Jay Chou is getting more popular in the world. Or Jay Chou is getting popular in the world. Which one sounds better?
Another question is about how to make an entire sentence with the following words and phrases.
The sky/ become / dark/ more quickly/ winter

The sky becomes darker more quickly in winter. I am sure that my answer is correct.
