Please help me with sentence

The intruder steps in and sees Alex at the other end of the room. Scared, Alex waves the kitchen knife threateningly at him.

Alex: Do not come closer or I'll kill you!


(There is a distance between them so Alex is not trying to hit him with the knife, he's only trying to scare him away.)
