Please help me with one question. Thanks

Dear all,

Could you help me clarify the former part of sentence? Does it make sense? I know it means that you are out of town and have guests over,.........but I am not sure if they could be put together. Thank you for your answer.

If you have out of town guests over, they can sleep in the spare bedrooms instead of having to go to a hotel.

Thanks.

Out of town guests may sleep in the spare bedrooms instead of having to go to a hotel. If you have out of town guests , they can sleep in the spare bedrooms instead of having to go to a hotel. The word "over" is unnecessary but it would not be incorrect to include it in your sentence.
