Cooking, baking, washing up are the most time-consuming for females, 74 minutes, compared with 30 minutes for males. The similar pattern can be seen in cleaning, house, tidying whose figure for men and women are 13 and 74 respectively. British females expend 45 minutes on the care of own children and play.
Male spend the number of minutes on domestic responsibilities more than female on remaining household chores. The figure for gardening/ petcare is almost 50 minutes for men and 21 minutes for women. The number of minutes consumed in maintenance odd jobs by men is 26, approximately 16 minutes longer than by women. In contrast, men allocate significantly less time for washing/ironing clothes and sewing, just 2 minutes daily on average.
