The given graph illustrates how many hours those different car companies (General Motor, Ford, Toyota, Honda) spent on producing vehicles at their U.S factories from 1998 to 2005.

In general, the average time to produce cars of 4 manufacturers tended to decline throughout 7 years and General Motor was the company having the most average time to produce cars compared to others.

In 1998, the Generator Motor had the highest figure of about 32 hours on producing the car while Ford took only 28 hours to do it. Both Toyota and Honda spent a similar average time to produce cars, which was about 22 hours. Although there was a slight reduction in the trend of the average time between 4 companies, the figures oscillated. Ford nearly reached the peak of 32 hours in 2001 but then decreased slightly to about 21 hours in 2005. The average time of Generator Motor also fell steadily to 22 hours. There were also many fluctuations in the figures of Honda and Toyota; however, both companies still dropped mildly to 20 hours in 2005.

This task was not written by a native English speaker. The English is not good. There are several errors.

1. The company name is: General Motors.

2. It is the average time to produce each vehicle. Both the instructions and the caption are poor English.

3. "Axis title" should not be displayed - "Year" is missing.

The line graph compares four major automobile manufacturers in the average time it took them to produce a vehicle in their US factories during the period 1998 to 2005. The four companies are General Motors, Ford, Toyota and Honda.

Paragraph #2: Write about two or three "main features". Avoid giving specific values.

Overall, the two Japanese companies (Toyota and Honda) required less time to make cars than the American companies (General Motors and Ford) over the entire period. However, the American companies made great improvements in this metric and nearly closed the gap, becoming quite competitive with the Japanese by the end of the period.

Paragraph #3: Give some details, but focus on making comparisons.

In 1998, General Motors required 32 hours to make a vehicle; and Ford was second, 4 hours less. There was quite a substantial gap compared to Honda and Toyota, which had average times of 22 hours. General Motors had a significant declining trend so that its average time in 2005 equaled the 22 hours of the Japanese manufacturers in 1998. However, the Japanese had made an improvement of 2 hours, so they were still marginally more efficient in 2005. In contrast, the time Ford required to produce a car increased, surpassing General Motors in mid-1999 at about 29 hours. It continued on that trend, peaking at 32 hours in 2001. However, it cut this time over the next four years, ending at a position (21 hours) which was higher than the Japanese, but lower than General Motors.
