The diagram illustrates the production of bricks used for the construction industry.
It is clear from the diagram that there are seven main stages in the process of manufacturing bricks. The first step of the process is digging clay, and the final step is delivering bricks to the final destination.
At the first step of producing bricks, clay is dug from the ground by a digger. The clay is then put through a metal grid to be divided into smaller pieces, which are delivered to the following step by a roller. These pieces of clay are mixed with sand and water. After that, this mixture can be formed into bricks in two ways: either it is shaped by a mold or a wire cutter is utilized.
The process continues with drying step, where heating bricks in an oven takes place for 24 – 48 hours. Next, these dry bricks are increasingly heated in two various kilns with moderate temperature of 200 – 980 °C and high temperature of 200 – 980 °C, before being cooled in a chamber for 2 – 3 days for final products. Finally, bricks are packed and delivered by vehicles to particular destinations.
