The graph illsutrates the proportion of TV and radio audiences in the United Kingdom over the year of 1992.

Overall, the percentage of TV viewers over the year was completely higher than the one of radio audiences. Over a period of 6AM to 12AM, people tend to spend more time on radio rather than television. Only about 8% of The British watched TV in the morning while the percentage of radio audiences peaked at nearly 25% of UK poplutaion in the same time. However, there was an upward trend of the proportion of UK population in watching TV, the percentage rose significantly from only 8% up to approximately 45% of the population ,over 6PM to 8PM .

In contrast of the noticeable surge of TV’s viewers, the percentage of radio audiences in England dropped sharply from its peak, from nearly 25% to just around 8% at the end of the day, which was completely different from the proportion from the morning when The British paid more attention to radio instead of watching TV’s show.
