The line graph compares the number of international students from three nations (Greece, Iran, Turkey) who enrolled at Sheffield University from 2005 to 2009.

Overall, the number of students who enrolled the university increased over four years period, the exception being in Greece, where there was many fewer students in the first year compared to 2009.

In detail, in 2005, Sheffield University had by far the most students from Greece, at about 180 students, while only 40 and 20 students entered this university from Iran and Turkey respectively. Of all three countries, at the start, the majority of international students was from Greece, which was replaced by Turkey from mid-2007 to the end of 2008, and following that Iranian enrolled with the largest number in the final years. In that year, the number of Greek students decreased significantly to only about 50 students, which was a third as many as Iranian students, at about 160 students. The level of enrollment of Turkish gradually rose sixfold, with 120 students in 2009.
