Please Help Me With My Writing Task 1

The maps illustrate changes occurred in the Stokeford village during a 70-year period from 1930 to 2010.

It is clear that the major change happening in the village was the increasing construction of residential houses along the central main road. Additionally, both farmlands had completely disappeared by 2010.

To the west of the main road, the post office next to the middle part of the way still remained. A farmland was situated in the south area of the village, adjacent to the river Stoke in 1930, but it was then demolished in 2010 to make way for houses built along the road and a ring road. Meanwhile, two shops to the north of the post office were also destroyed and replaced by a dead end leading off from the main road.

To the east of the major road, the large gardens in the middle were narrowed, making some rooms for new houses, while the large house was expanded, and then completely converted into retirement home in 2010. In addition, another farmland in the southeast corner of the village disappeared, giving way to the expansion of the primary school and another new dead end.
