The line chart compares the percentage of people using the internet in the USA, Canada and Mexico during 1999 and 2009.

According to the given chart, it is clear that Americans and Canadians used the internet more than Mexicans. Also, the figures for internet users in Canada and America increased sharply over the period, whilst in Mexico the amount rose gradually.

Now, turning to the details, in 1999 the starting points of the percentage of internet users over the populations in America, Canada and Mexico were approximately 20 percent, 10 percent and 5 percent respectively. In 2005, the figures changed considerably to about 60 percent in both Canada and America. However, in Mexico the number of internet users rose slowly and reached just around 25 percent of the population.

In 2009, Canada came out first in this field at nearly 100 percent of people who used the internet. Amercans followed closely at about 80 percent, whereas Mexicans remained the last position as it was from the beginning of the period at about 30 percent compared to the far higher figures of the other two countries.
